TecBrake Trade-In Program

Objective:

To trade in used engine brake housing assemblies for NEW TecBrake engine brake housing and allow you to utilize the existing hardware.

The trade in kit will allow you to use the existing components (bolts, injector screws, crossheads, switches etc.) with the new TecBrake housing assemblies. If extra parts not included in the kit are needed (i.e. crossheads when replacing a 401 series housing) they are available through TecBrake.

These housings are an economical alternative for housing replacement. They can be used to replace cracked, worn out housings or housings that can not be upgraded due to turbo or engine changes. By doing this you will obtain a trade-in value for the used housing and still be able to afford NEW brake housings installed on your engine.

We will be able to recycle the old housings by using them as raw material at our foundry.

Product Qualification for Exchange Program:

Housings missing only one of the components listed below will not be eligible for the core refund.

Any warranty replacement of a TecBrake housing must be replaced with a TecBrake trade-in housing (NO EXCEPTIONS).

* Caterpillar® Note: When replacing a housing on a Jacobs® 346D Brake, use TecBrake replacement kit as is. On other Jacobs® models using 3 point mounting (C346B, 346B etc.) use the TecBrake TJ017206 B+ Upgrade Kit and TecBrake Trade-In kit. This trade-in housing may also  be used to replace a PacBrake® P36 housing with the following condition. You must level the TecBrake Trade-in housing during installation using a shim and washer kit that IS NOT provided in the trade-in kit.
